Lausanne HC's Mathieu Gerber signs with WSHL team Vancouver Rangers

As the Western States Hockey League team Vancouver Rangers announce, Lausanne HC U20 player Mathieu Gerber has agreed to sign with the team for the upcoming season.

General Manager & Head Coach Dave Daniello is happy about the signing and hopes Gerber will take over a leadership role: “Mathieu should provide a big presence for us on defense. He is a playmaker and a leader. He will fill a large role for us this season."

The 19-year-old defenseman is a product of Lausanne HC's organisation and was even an assistant captain of their Elite A team last season. In 143 games for the U20 team, he has scored six goals and 16 assists. (mso)

WSHL The Western States Hockey League is a Tier-II level junior league, consisting out of 28 teams divided into four divisions.
