Thomas Mettler leaves EHC Winterthur and joins the Pikes Oberthurgau

The Pikes Oberthurgau have found a new defenseman for the upcoming season. The 25-year-old Thomas Mettler joins the first league team from EHC Winterthur and has signed a one-year contract.

Mettler is a product of EHC Kloten's youth organisation. He even played 27 games in the National League A between 2010 and 2012. In 2012, however, he joined EHC Visp in the National League B.

Last season he scratched the ice 39 times for EHC Winterthur in the National League B, scoring one goal and six assists. (abu)
