The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers refrain from signing a third import-player for the rest of the current season, as Lakers team manager Roger Maier confirms to the Südostschweiz. They are focusing on possible B-licenses.

Not signing a third import-player has two reasons, as Roger Maier explains: "On the one hand financial reasons, on the other hand we don't want any problems in the team." According to the same source, Slovakian forward Richard Rapac was not able during a one-week try-out to earn himself a contract with the Lakers.

To reinforce their team for the final phase of the season, the Lakers are, however, looking at possible acquisitions via B-license. Players of the teams who are going to miss the playoffs (EHC Winterthur and most likely the GCK Lions) can be acquired until Feburary 15. (tme)
