James Desmarais and HC Ajoie settle out of court

The Canadian was in his 8th season with HC Ajoie, when the team terminated his contract due to an alleged incident between him and then head coach Jan Tlacil.

Both parties were not willing to disclose anything about the situation back then, but Desmarais went on to sue his fomer club for CHF 136,000. However, the court meeting that should have taken place in Porrentury this week has now been cancelled.

What exactly happened on that November day, we will probably never find out, since the forward seems to have signed a confidentiality clause, as he tells Radio RJF. However, the EHC Visp forward is "glad that this is settled."
