Swiss League

As Mike Echenard tells "Le Nouvelliste", HC Red Ice is still working hard to make a future NLA promotion possible. While they did not receive the green light from the league this year, they hope they will next season.

Their goal is to make the NLA as quickly as possible. Their Russian investors will continue to put money into the NLB club, as Andrey Nazheskin confirms. Specifically, they want to help to develop the concept of a new arena and give Red Ice the chance to have a competitive team.

As for the problem with receiving the NLA license, Echenard seems confident that they can meet the SIHF's standards soon: "Between the town and the club, we will make adjustments to the lighting, the sound system and security. Ueli Schwarz has said that if those alterations will be made, we should be able to play in this rink in the NLA for two or three years, provided, of course, that we guarantee to provide a new infrastructure."
