HC Ajoie signs 20-year-old Lars Blanchard to one-year contract

As HC Ajoie announces, they have signed Lars Blanchard to a one-year contract and will thus stay until the end of the 2016-17 season. The defenseman last played for the Elite A team of HC Fribourg-Gottéron.

The 20-year-old defenseman is a product of the Dragons' organisation and was slated to play for the HC Düdingen Bulls this season. However, after his successful tryout with the Ajoulots, he now has found a place on an NLB team for at least a year.

Blanchard appeared in 36 games for the Dragons' U20 team last season, scoring six goals and four assists. His contract with HC Ajoie will run through 2017. (mso)
