NLB - GCK Lions' Canadian forward Alex Nikiforuk, who will not get a contract extension for the upcoming season, is going to play the upcoming NLB playoffs with HC Red Ice. He joins them as their third import-player.
The 31-year-old Canadian was GCK's top scorer this season with 31 points (nine goals, 22 assists) in 38 games. Nevertheless, the ZSC Lions' farm team has decided not to keep him on their roster for the upcoming season. All in all, Nikiforuk has played 83 games in the NLB since his arrival in 2013 and put up 74 points (21 goals, 53 assists). (tme)
