Swiss League

Ramón Diem, who had received a tryout from EHC Olten, has indeed signed a contract with the Mice for the upcoming season. Daniel Steiner, on the other hand, cannot join them due to contract issues, at least for now.

Diem (photo) received a tryout from EHC Olten one week ago and was able to convince the team. The former player of the GCK Lions will thus play his sixth consecutive season in the NLB. In this league, he has already played 186 games and managed to score 27 goals and 38 assists.

Moreover, EHC Olten would have also found an agreement with Daniel Steiner. However, the 36-year-old is still negotiating with EHC Biel, his last employer, to dissolve his contract. Steiner was told in June that he would have to leave the Seelanders despite a valid contract. He then received a try-out from EHC Olten in August.

Moreover, in contrast to yesterday's report from EHC Arosa, EHC Olten denies that they have already signed Marc Sahli. They are, however, close to a deal with the 19-year-old forward. Sahli will thus not suit up for the first team this weekend but will likely play for their Elite B team.
