NLB - HC Red Ice has announced the signing of the two brothers Michele and Luca Zanatta, sons of former HC Lugano coach Ivano. The two Italians with Swiss licenses join the Valaisans from the Italian team SG Cortina.
24-year-old Michele Zanatta appeared in 42 games for Cortina last season, registering one goal and nine assists. Furthermore, the defenseman has already dressed in 16 NLA and 55 NLB games with Lugano, Basel and Ajoie.
His brother Luca (22), also a defenseman, has played in 199 matchups in the Italian first division, scoring a total of 42 points.
