Bernie Sigrist will not return to play for HC Ajoie next season

Whilst the club had officially announced an extension with Sigrist this April, the forward was quick to deny that he is under contract with HC Ajoie for the upcoming season.

At the time, HCA's team manager was quoted that Sigrist had an out clause until March 31 but never gave any indication that he would like to leave and therefore his  contract was automatically renewed for the upcoming season.

Now it seems as if the 34-year-old, who finished his season playing for EHC Visp in the playoffs, is set to leave HC Ajoie after all.
