NLA - Following his check against HC Fribourg-Gottéron's defenseman Joel Kwiatkowski, HC Davos' Marc Wieser has been suspended by the single judge for two games. In addition, the 27-year-old has to pay a CHF 1,000.- fine.
Last Friday, Marc Wieser checked Joel Kwiatkowski into the boards from behind. While Kwiatkowski is currently out with a concussion due to that incident, Wieser has been suspended for two games for violating rule 119 iii. IIHF (Boarding).
The 27-year-old already sat out one game and thus will only be missing in one more game, on Saturday against the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. (tme).
