Less than 24 hours later than the announcement of a possible trade between the Swiss Champion SC Bern and HC Lugano by "Ticinonews", the deal is done. This is what "Blick" reports today.
With HC Lugano's 39-year-old Canadian forward Glen Metropolit, who has scored six goals and 28 assists so far in this season, a lot of experience will join Bern in their fight for a playoff spot. On the other hand, they send the 26-year-old Finnish forward Mikko Lehtonen, who wasn't able to convince in Bern since he has joined the team during the off-season (four goals, nine assists), to Lugano.
Metropolit's move to Bern is already the second of this kind from Lugano to Bern. Already midway through October, SC Bern took over Lugano's 37-year-old forward Hnat Domenichelli.
