Ryan Gardner wants to stay with HC Fribourg-Gottéron

On Friday, HC Fribourg-Gottéron's head coach Gerd Zenhäusern told the "Freiburger Nachrichten" that Gardner's situation with the club is still open. Gardner, however, is willing to continue his career almost anywhere and now explicitly stated that he would like to stay with the team he joined just last summer.

He recognizes Fribourg's potential and therefore wants to play for them in 2016-17 as well. This current season, the 37-year-old Swiss Canadian has appeared in 38 games for the Dragons, scoring four goals and eleven assists. (bsc)
