NLA - Single judge Reto Steinmann has suspended Kloten Flyers' goalkeeper Martin Gerber for one game due to a violation of IIHF Rule 528 j (Fisticuffs) in yesterday's playoff game.
In last night's 2-1 win of the Flyers over Davos, Kloten's goalkeeper Martin Gerber received a game misconduct penalty during the second period after hitting HCD's Gregory Sciaroni with his blocker in front of the Flyers' net.
Now, Steinmann has extended the penalty and suspended Gerber for the next game. The 39-year-old will therefore have to sit out game four of the playoff series against HC Davos on Tuesday. In addition, the goalkeeper has to pay a fine of CHF 500.
