Lausanne HC extends contracts of coaching trio Ehlers, Franzén and Sarault

The 49-year-old Dane Heinz Ehlers (photo) took over as Lausanne HC's head coach in summer 2013, whereas the Swede Rikard Franzén, 47, joined him as assistant as of the past season. Both Ehlers and Franzén have now running contracts through to the 2016-17 season.

Furthermore, the club has inked assistant- and U20 head coach Yves Saurault to a two-year contract extension, valid until April 2018.

"We are very satisfied by the work done by Heinz Ehlers and his coaching staff since their arrival in Lausanne," team manager Jan Alston said. "These extensions will send a strong signal to our players as well as the LHC community and are part of the Lausanne's philisophy, to count and focus on continuity." (rlu)
