Kamerzin was traded from Genève-Servette HC yesterday evening together with John Fritsche to HC Fribourg-Gottéron in exchange for young defenseman Romain Loeffel. As reported earlier, Loeffel wasn't too happy about the trade as well, but he seems to have accepted his fate and will play for Genève-Servette HC.
Kamerzin though, according to his agent, is not yet certain, if he will ever play for HCFG or if he will persue legal actions against his -now former- team.
Update 02.00 pm: In a interview with "Watson".ch Georges Müller says that the actions of Chris McSorley were devoid of any labor law basis: "He will only play when the labor situation is resolved."
Apparently HC Fribourg-Gottéron's team manager and head coach Hans Kossman did not even realise that Kamerzin's contract lasts until 2016 and not 2015 like Loeffel's, when he acquired the defenseman.
One thing is for sure: This blockbuster trade proves to be anything but boring. The 25-year-old Jérémie Kamerzin has scored nine points in 27 games for Genève-Servette HC. His contract expires at the end of the 2015/16 season.
