The 36-year-old Canadian is currently in his second season with HC Fribourg Gottéron. He signed with HCFG back in 2012, after two seasons with SC Bern. He brings a lot of experience to the team, as he also played in 282 NHL games (Ottawa Senators, Washington Capitals, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Atlanta Trashers) until 2008. After a three year stint in Russia, he joined the SC Bern in 2010.
Joel Kwiatkowski has scored 22 points in 46 games for the HC Fribourg-Gottéron and will stay with the team at least until the end of the 2015/16 season.
