HCFG extends contract with Wirtanen due to Dubé injury

As Christoph Schär (Blick) already reported this weekend, the 37-year-old Canadian sustained the injury during the game against HC Ambrì-Piotta. The duration of his absence is not yet known, as he has yet to undergo further medical examinations.

As for Petteri Wirtanen, his contract would have lasted until October 5, but with Dubé out of the lineup, the Dragons need some more depth for their center position. Thus, the 28-year-old Finn, who scored four assists in ten games, will remain on the roster for now.
