HC Fribourg-Gottéron announces that they have signed Zach Hamill to a two-week contract. The Canadian joins the Dragon from Liiga team HPK and will serve as injury replacement for Greg Mauldin.

The 26-year-old forward is a former first round pick from the Boston Bruins and appeared in 20 NHL games for them (four assists). However he played most of his career in the AHL (378 games, 202 points) and last season, he suited up for HPK, putting up 16 goals and 19 assists in 58 games.

As for Greg Mauldin, who is dealing with a concussion, they will have to wait two weeks and then they might be able to tell, when he is ready to play again. (mso)
