"We parted ways on good terms," Bezina says. "I already got to know in 2014 that I was not any longer part of the coach's plans. However, I was still hopeful that the season that just ended could possibly change his mind. Obviously, that was not the case."
The "TdG" reported earlier that Bezina seems to have a couple of options to continue his career. One might be with the Croatian team Medvescak Zagreb, or in Switzerland EHC Biel or HC Ambrì-Piotta. But Bezina himself, otherwise reluctant to comment on a possible new employer, rules out the latter, as he says to "Ticinonline": "I can say that I won't play for Ambrì."
The Swiss-Croatian joined the Grenats in 2004 from North America. In a total of 634 games for them and ten straight years as the team's captain, Bezina managed to put up 384 points. Last season, he recorded six goals and 19 assists in 61 games. (rlu/tme)
