Former Genève-Servette HC forward Laurent Meunier has options in Switzerland

As Le Matin reports, the 36-year-old forward is eligible for the facilitated naturalisation due to his marriage to a Swiss and the fact that he lives in Geneva. The only thing that's missing is a full year of (permanent) residency in Switzerland.

Currently, Meunier is preparing for the next season with Genève-Servette HC, as he usually does. As he tells Le Matin, he hopes that he already finds a Swiss team for the 2015-16 season, despite him not being a Swiss yet: "My priority is to find a club in the National League. There are two or three options for now, but nothing concrete. I hope the situation is resolved rapidly, by the end of June."

Laurent Meunier, who used to be part of the Grenats from 2006 to 2008 and again in 2010, has played the last four seasons for the Straubing Tigers in the DEL. Last season, the French international was able to score five goals and 24 assists in 50 games for them. (mso)
