Immonen joins EV Zug from Torpedo Novgorod in the KHL. In the past season, the center was the team's third best scorer with 43 points in 62 games.
The former Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick, who has appeared in 20 career NHL games with the New York Rangers (eight points), has been a regular in the Finnish national team since 2009 and was able to celebrate the win of the World Championship with Finnland in 2011.
Jarkko Immonen is currently in Switzerland to play two preparation games with team Finnland against the Swiss national team next Wednesday in Kloten and on Friday in Basel. (lcu)
