Domenig's strategic goal - HC Davos with head coach Arno Del Curto until 2021?

Behind the scenes of the Spengler Cup, HCD president Gaudenz Domenig is working on his strategic goal to keep Del Curto behind the boards until 2021. Then, HC Davos is celebrating their 100-year-anniversary. Del Curto's contract with HCD is coming to an end after the current season.

But a six-year extension is going to be difficult, as Domenig says to journalist Klaus Zaugg in the Neue Luzerner Zeitung: "An extension until 2021 probably won't be possible, it's gonna take more than one step." Nevertheless, a first step shall follow soon: "I hope that we'll find an agreement before New Year's Eve," Domenig says. By handshake. As usual.
