NLA - Defenseman Jonathan Mercier has re-signed with Genève-Servette HC for another three years. The 27-year-old native of Geneva is currently in his eleventh season with the Grenats.

For Genève-Servette HC's coach Chris McSorley, Jonathan Mercier is not only on the ice an important player for Servette: "Jonathan is a large part of the Geneva identity of our club, since also his father already wore the jersey of the Grenats".

Also the 27-year-old defensman is pleased that he had the opportunity to re-sign with his youth team through to the 2016-17 season: "I am obviously very happy to continue to wear the jersey of Genève-Servette HC and defend the colors of my city", Mercier said.

In his whole career with Genève-Servette HC, Mercier has completed a total of 508 games in the National League A in which he scored 35 goals and 79 assists.
