After the season is before the season - SC Bern already planning for another championship run

On the sportive side, SC Bern still has some question marks concerning their roster. As the Berner Zeitung writes, team manager Alex Chatelain wants to start the upcoming season with five import-players. He is definitely planning with their current imports Andrew Ebbett, Mark Arcobello, and Maxim Noreau - although Arcobello has an NHL out-clause and inspite of rumors that Noreau might return to HC Ambrì-Piotta.

In addition to these three players, SC Bern has yet to confirm the signing of the Finnish forward Mika Pyörälä. Most recently, a possible return of Cory Conacher and Derek Roy has been discussed in various media. Ryan Lasch and Aaron Gagnon, on the other hand, are definitely going to leave Bern, the Berner Zeitung writes.

Also for Martin Plüss, there is no way back. In order to fill his spot, Chatelain is still on the outlook for another Swiss center. A signing of ZSC Lions' Morris Trachsler does not seem to be off the table yet, although the forward said that he would like to stay in the vicinity of Zurich. Moreover, the Bears hope that Nico Hischier will return for the upcoming season.

On the administrative side, the talks about continuing their collaboration with EHC Visp are well underway, as EHC Visp's CEO Sébastian Pico told Le Nouvelliste. The agreement will also determine which players of SC Bern are going to suit up for the Valaisans next term.
