Switzerland to make a bid for 2019 World Championships

According to campaign manager Peter Lüthi, "a candidacy gives a new boast and new motivation for hockey" and it would be great to have another World Championship in Switzerland, after having held one back in 2009 in Berne and Kloten.

As of now, it is not yet clear, in which cities the tournament would be held, but Switzerland is certainly not lacking in venues and one could even build new arenas, if they can be finished until 2019.

Switzerland will certainly not remain the only candiate for the IIHF World Championships 2019, but we will see, who is going to join the Swiss. The tournament will be assigned by the IIHF Annual Congress in May 2015 during the World Championships in Prague.
