Glen Hanlon definitely quits the Belarusian national team

The 57-year-old Canadian told the media in Minsk that he wants to return to Canada and spend some time with his familiy and is therefore resigning from his duties with the Belarusian national team.

Glen Hanlon started his coaching career in 1995 as assistant coach of the Vancouver Canucks. On the international level he acted as head coach of the Belarusian national team (2004-06, 2008-09 and 2013-14) and of the Slovakian national team (2009-11).

Earlier this week, Lausanne HC confirmed the departure of John Fust, who is rumored to be the new assistant coach of the Swiss national team. It should be only a matter of time until the SIHF sends out an official confirmation of the new signings.
