SWISS ICE HOCKEY - As "Le Matin" reports, the teams of the National League B are up to propose a new organisation of the two National Leagues with ten teams each at the next general assembly in November.

According to "Le Matin"'s sources, eight of nine NLB-teams want to propose that the two National Leagues will be composed of ten teams each in the future. In addition, there should be one automatic promotion and relegation each year without a League Qualification round. A noble wish from the NLB-teams or a realistic option?

Given the fact that a majority of the NLA-teams would have to support the proposition at the general assembly, it seems highly unlikely that the NLB's wish is going to be fulfilled. As also "Le Matin" explains, the NLA-teams would have to be ready to "abandon some of their privileges and take the risk to fight against relegation".

Although virtually everyone agrees that the current state of the National League B with only nine teams is not how it should be, the question how to solve this problem is far more controversial.
