NLA/SHL - What has been exptected is now official. Finnish right wing Mikko Lehtonen leaves the shores of lake Lugano and returns to Sweden, where he has signed a two-year contract with Skellefteå AIK in the SHL.

The 27-year-old native of Espoo came to Switzerland in early 2013, joining the ZSC Lions from Severstal Cherepovets (KHL). During the following summer he moved to the SC Bern, before he was traded to HC Lugano in exchange for Glen Metropolit at the beginning of February this year.

In a total of 54 NLA games, Lehtonen was able to score ten goals and 16 assists. With the Bianconeri he appeared in five games, collecting two points.
