The 21-year-old defenseman is pleased to stay in Sweden, even though Swiss teams definitely noticed him: "It feels great. I came here three years ago and made a lot of progress. [...] I am really looking forward to the next two years with Luleå. Yes, there was some interest from Swiss teams, but I think I can develop my game here better."

Dean Kukan played the last three season for Luleå Hockey, working his way up from the U20 to the first team. Last year, he played his first full season for the club, scoring 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 60 games.
