mt_ignoreAs the "Berner Zeitung" reports, SC Bern's defenseman Eric Blum, who had to leave Saturday's game early, has suffered an injury to his cervical spine and spent the night at the hospital in Geneva before being transported to Bern yesterday.

As team manager Sven Leuenberger informs, tests have shown that no bones have been broken. It is not yet clear how long the Swiss international will be out. (lcu)

UPDATE As SC Bern informs, Blum has suffered a contusion of his cervical spine and will be out indefinitely. Furthermore, Justin Krueger is suffering from concussion symptoms caused by a hit in the same game and it is also not yet clear when he will be able to return. In other news, newly acquired center Derek Roy will make his debut for the Bears tomorrow.  - 12 October 2015, 4:44 PM
