The 35-year-old forward would have had a contract in place with the Seelanders for the 2016-17 season, but he and Kevin Schläpfer were no longer on the same page and so the agreement was dissolved in June.

Steiner joined EHC Biel in the 2015-16 season and appeared in 56 games for them, scoring 17 goals and ten assists. He will play in tonight's game against the Iserlohn Roosters. (mso)
