The 29-year-old defenseman has found his joy for hockey again and has resumed practice with HC Davos and EHC Chur in the last few weeks: "In the last few weeks, I have found my passion for hockey again. It burns like a fire in me, I want to hit the ice again, play again!"

With his signing, SC Langenthal reacts to their injury woes, since Marc Schefer (back) and Marco Schüpbach (three months, underarm injury) are both out long-term.

Collenberg retired at the end of last season with one year left on his contract with the Lakers. After being suspended by the them in January, Collenberg played the rest of the past season on loan with SC Bern. In 517 games in the National League A for Davos, Basel, Fribourg, Bern, and Rapperswil, the native of Chur scored 21 goals and 66 assists.
