The 28-year-old forward has played with HC Red Ice since the 2011/12 season and was part of the team that was able to celebtrate the promotion of Red Ice to the National League B in 2012. Last season, he scored nine points (five goals, four assists) in 23 games. He will be part of the team until the end of the 2014/15 season.

NLB - Originally, Florian Dähler had signed a new contract with the EHC Basel Sharks for the next season. Due to the team's bankruptcy, he now agreed to a one-year deal with his former team HC Red Ice, as Le Nouvelliste reports.
