Leblanc, who played for three teams last season, was drafted 18th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2009 NHL Draft. However, he only played 50 NHL games for them over the course of his career. As he was now unable to receive a satisfying new contract, he has decided to end his career. However, Leblanc has yet to confirm this.

Last season, Leblanc played seven KHL games for Slovan Bratislava as well as four games for MsHK Zilin in Slovakia before he joined Lausanne HC. For the Lions, he appeared in 10 games and managed to score five points (four goals, one assist). (bsc)
