Daniel Steiner will leave EHC Biel with immediate effect. As the club announces, the 35-year-old forward and EHCB decided to end their cooperation by mutual agreement.

Just two weeks ago EHC Biel's team manager, Martin Steinegger, claimed that Steiner had no intention of leaving the club. In April EHC Biel had announced that they would let Steiner go if he wanted to. Back then "the differences between him and Kevin Schläpfer were considerable and probably irreversible", said Martin Steinegger.

In his only season with EHC Biel, Steiner played 56 games, scoring 17 goals and ten assists. (abu)
