National League

As Expressen's Henrik Sjöberg reveals, defensemen Jonas Junland and Daniel Rahimi will both leave Linköping HC after this season. While Junland reportedly signed with Lausanne HC, also Rahimi might land in the NLA.

Before Junland (photo) returned to his youth team in 2013, the 2006 third-round pick of the St. Louis Blues tried his luck in North America for two years and then moved back to Europe, where he played for Färjestad, Astana (KHL) and Lahti (Liiga). This season so far, the 28-year-old has appeared in 49 games for LHC, putting up five goals and 24 assists.

Same-aged defender Daniel Rahimi, on the other hand, is currently in his fourth straight year in Linköping. In 49 games this term, the 2006 third-round pick of the Vancouver Canucks was able to record 14 points (three goals, eleven assists). There are rumors that Rahimi is close to a deal with HC Davos.
