In an interview with the Berner Zeitung, the SCL Tigers' team manager Jörg Reber says that he wants to reduce his roster from 33 to 28 players in view of the next season.

Reber is currently busy planning his roster for the upcoming season. They are content with their goalies, although, according to the same source, they have talked with Marco Bührer's agent. However, it looks like the SC Bern goaltender will hang up his skates.

As for the defensemen, Kevin Hecquefeuille might be the odd man out after this season. The Tigers will likely play with three forwards and one defenseman as their import players and with Koistinen already signed, it might be difficult for the French defenseman to get another contract.

As for the forward section, Patrick Bandiera, who is currently playing with EHC Burgdorf, will not receive another contract. Simon Sterchi (currently HC Thurgau) is also not in a good position to get another deal.

Furthermore, ten contracts of forwards are expiring, however, none takes priority over the other, according to Reber, who is also not in a hurry to extend the contract of head coach Benoît Laporte. (mso)
