NLA - As was already reported earlier this morning, there had been strong indications that forward Denis Hollenstein would return to the Kloten Flyers to join his father Felix Hollenstein. This has now been confirmed by the Tribune de Genève.

The 24-year-old forward will indeed return to the Kloten Flyers, even though he has still a valid contract with Genève-Servette HC until 2017.

However, GSHC's head coach Chris McSorley did not want to stand in the way of the father-son reunion and gave his okay to the transfer: "When Denis signed with us last year, his dad was not yet the head coach of the Flyers. This is an exceptional opportunity for him and I could not deny him that."

Furthermore, there is apparently no exchange or compensation with the Kloten Flyers for the forward in the works. McSorley stresses that is was really the "human factor that came into play."

Denis Hollenstein scored 41 points (eleven goals and 30 assists) in 53 games for Genève-Servette HC. As the Kloten Flyers confirm, he will stay with the Flyers until the end of the 2016/17 season.
