Eldebrink has been named as one of several possible successors to resigning Swiss national team head coach Sean Simpson in the recent weeks.
In an interview with the Tages Anzeiger, Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' team manager Harry Roggenmoser now takes the wind out of the sails: "Never ever!" would they let him go.
The 53-year-old Swede came to the shores of lake Zurich during last year's playout, where he took over from Harry Roggenmoser as head coach. Eldebrink's contract with the Lakers is valid until the end of season 2015/2016.
