According to Marco Maffioletti of "LaRegione", Nordlund joined Ambrì on loan from Jokerit Helsinki as a replacement for their defensive leader Maxim Noreau. Whereas Noreau is back on track, Ambrì also keeps Markus Nordlund until the end of the season.
In 14 games for Ambrì-Piotta so far, Nordlund scored 6 assists and has a +1 rating. After the signing of Nordlund, HCAP is also aiming for a renewal of contract with their Canadian netminder Nolan Schaefer, said Serge Pelletier.
