Medical Report

HC Fribourg-Gottéron had to deal without Lorenz Kienzle for the majority of last night's Cup game against the ZSC Lions.

The defenseman took a heavy check into the boards from ZSC's Fabrice Herzog in the 4th minute of play, and had to leave the ice afterwards with the help of the team's medical staff and a suspected knee injury.

According to Anthony Loewer (La Télé), Kienzle has sustained a minor injury to his thigh and might therefore be sidelined for a few days only. However, as Larry Huras told Le Matin after the game, the injury the defenseman suffered is not too severe: "It is probably a muscular problem. It's not excluded that he will play again this weekend."
