Rumor

According to Le Matin, Genève-Servette HC might not only be ready to pay a lot of money to lure Yannick Rathgeb to Geneva, but also to sacrifice their defenseman Romain Loeffel.

Citing a "source close to the matter", Le Matin (relayed by SwissHabs) writes that Genève-Servette HC has made a financially very attractive offer to HC Fribourg-Gottéron's defenseman Yannick Rathgeb. Apparently, Geneva's coach and team manager Chris McSorley is willing to go the extra mile to secure the services of the 21-year-old.

The same source further reports that there is also the idea of an early departure of Romain Loeffel, 25, in order to make room for Rathgeb. Chris McSorley, of course, has not commented on this possibility yet. Loeffel still has a valid contract with the Grenats until 2018.
