The 24-year-old forward had signed a contract with Winterthur's partner team EHC Kloten in December 2015 and has appeared in 22 games for them this season, scoring one goal and two assists. Homberger also suited up seven times for Winterthur this season, recording four points (one goal).
In total, Homberger has played 32 NLB games as well as 92 first league games for Wintherthur. He only appeared in his first National League game at the age of 22.
