Mauro Lorenz was already part of HC Thurgau's coaching staff, but on the junior level. Up to today, he served as the Swiss League team's head of development as well as head coach of their U20 team.
"We want to give young talents a chance to develop not only on the ice but also off it. Mauro Lorenz has a lot of social skills and experience in dealing with young players," Patrick Brändli, team manager of HC Thurgau, said.
