As Le Matin reports, Travis Ehrhardt will definitely stay with the Grenats for the 2016-17 season. The Canadian defenseman had received a tryout opportunity from GSHC last week.

"We hope to get the necessary paperwork done, so he can be put in the lineup on Tuesday," McSorley told the newspaper after Genève-Servette HC's 1-3 loss against EHC Biel last night. As the head coach adds, Lorne Henning, who supports him on the sportive side of things, is also convinced that Ehrhardt can help the team this season.

The 27-year-old defenseman played for the Utica Comets (AHL) these past two seasons. In 68 games last year, he scored six goals and 20 assists. With Johan Fransson, Nick Spaling, Mike Santorelli, captain Jim Slater and Ehrhardt, the Grenats have now five import players under contract for the 2016-17 season.
