As La Liberté reports (via Swisshabs), HC Fribourg-Gottéron's defenseman Yannick Rathgeb has received several offers from other teams for the 2017-18 season. His contract with Fribourg is expiring in spring.

"My agent has several offers on his desk. However, we decided not to talk about them at the moment," says the 20-year-old defenseman, who recently had the opportunity to participate in the Chicago Blackhawks' prospect development camp.

Christian Dubé, HC Fribourg-Gottéron's team manager, also tells La Liberté that he will certainly try to keep the young defenseman in Fribourg. "We would be stupid if we did not want to extend his contract," he adds.

Last year, Rathgeb played his first professional season with HCFG. He suited up for 55 NLA games and managed to score nine goals and 19 assists for a total of 28 points.
