Rumor

As Expressen blogger Johan Svensson reveals on his site, there seems to be mutual interest between Skellefteå AIK's forward Patrik Zackrisson and HC Lugano as for the upcoming season(s).

Author of two goals in Sweden's 4-2 win over Finland tonight, the 28-year-old Swedish international is currently playing the best season of his career and is thus attracting great interest from all over Europe.

However, the player himself is denying these rumors so far, but at the same time states when asked about Lugano: "I heard it's a great place to play. A fantastic city, a great club. So it would be nice if they are interested in me."

Zackrisson's contract with the SHL-club is going to expire at the end of the season, and so far nothing seems to point to a possible renewal. The center has appeared in 42 games for Skellefteå this term so far, scoring eleven goals and 28 assists, which currently makes him the fourth-best scorer of the Swedish Hockey League. (rlu)
