RUMOR - Just a few hours ago, the Toronto Maple Leafs have introduced Mike Babcock (ex-Red Wings) as their new head coach. According to TSN journalist Bob McKenzie, SC Bern's Guy Boucher might probably become Babcock's assistant.

As McKenzie reports, Boucher has had a meeting in Toronto with the Maple Leafs' leadership last night and today, as a possible candidate to be the new head coach. After today's decision in favor of Babcock, however, Boucher might still be interested in the job as assistant coach.

The 43-year-old Canadian, who used to coach the Tampa Bay Lightning, has still a year left on his contract with SC Bern. However, he is free to join an NHL team, if he gets offered a position, as he has an out-clause for this year. (rlu)
