RUMOR - According to the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat, the Finnish defenseman Anssi Salmela is practicing with HC Davos and looking to ink a contract in the NLA. After playing in Sweden last season, he is currently without employment.

The 30-year-old Finnish international is looking for a new job in Davos. Although HCD would be one option, his main goal is just to play in the National League A - if a team offers him a good deal.

Last season he would have played for the KHL-team of Donbass Donezk but got fired before the season even started. He then suited up for MoDo and HV71 Jönköping in the Swedish Hockey League. For HV71 he scored 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 41 games.
